BBG2Go meals are all fresh, homemade and fully cooked, so they freeze as well as anything you would make in your own kitchen. Having said that, just like anything you would make, some things freeze better than others. For instance, when frozen, zucchini holds a lot of water and doesn’t hold up as well as other vegetables, so you may want to remove it before freezing.
- We recommend adding a layer of plastic wrap between the lid and the meal before freezing for extra protection.
- To reheat a frozen meal, remove the plastic wrap and loosely set the lid back on the meal. Start by microwaving the meal for 3 minutes at 50% power. Stir, and heat again in 30 second increments until desired temperature is reached.
- To heat a meal that was frozen and has been thawed, use our normal heating instructions of 1 1/2 – 2 minutes in the microwave at full power.
- Just a reminder: To maintain optimum freshness and to preserve the integrity of the meals for at least 5 days, we recommend a 35 degree refrigerator.
